There is zero chance Hank gets a start in this prelim rd (unless injury). Hank could’ve shut out the Canes all 4 games and he wouldn’t be starting. Shesty is, simply put, the better goalie, and will play as the #1 until they are out. Georgy would probably be in the press box, with Hanks experience on the bench. I’m sure Hank will be be pissed like he’s been most of the season, but tough sh!t haha

May very well be the case, but doesn't mean question shouldn't and won't be asked, as it has been already.

The good news is that because they own Carolina's pick, New York, regardless of if they win or loss, the team will automatically be in the lottery.

I thought CAR had the option of which pick we got? (Theirs or TOR). If we beat them but TOR moves on to round 2, they’d give us TOR pick plus ours which would both be out of the lottery. CAR would keep their own pick (in the lottery) and give us TOR’s.

Yeah only works out if Columbus ousts Toronto, which I honestly think is quite likely.

Leafs could get bounced for sure. CBJ is fully healthy and they had a remarkable season being very unhealthy

I think Columbus is a better overall team, but some of the advantages that I say would play for us would also play for Toronto. They are insanely top heavy. After being fully rested they could double shift guys like Tavares and Marner and that extra firepower on the ice might push them over the top.

I'll Never forget May 27, 1994. The overflow of emotions from the pit of despair w 7.7 seconds left and having the Devils tie the game to an hour or so later with Matteau winning it in double OT. EPIC NIGHT, EPIC SERIES!

PS, took a much needed breather from here and all my social media which I remain off, any guys on here who I'm friends with don't think I blocked you (Jimmy, TJ, others). No more Covid or conspiracy talk from me here, promise.

I applaud the NHL plan to bring hockey back --- it is well thought out and shows great attention to detail. However, MY GOODNESS --- they have screwed the pooch with 2 possible lottery drafts! They took a proven model that everyone understood and made it so unnecessarily complex!

Have your draft lottery after the play-in round is finished: easy, clear, concise. To think that a team of professionals would tank the play-in round to get more lotto balls is naive and downright stupid. The league is clearly overthinking this one...

I don’t think anyone would tank a whole series, but if they fall behind 2-0 I could see a team just laying an egg in game 3. I really think some teams would think about it, especially considering I’m sure that not all the players have their heart in this restart to begin with.

I agree 100% they made it very complicated, BUT Bettman is dying and desperate to get something on tv and earn the league some money. They’ll have an hour for the first drawing and we know everyone will be glued to it. I get what he’s doing, it makes sense in that way.

They really have set up a brilliant return plan where most teams have something worth while after this whole mess. They were in a very tough spot and I think they come through it smelling like roses. The one thing I think may be a lil rough for people/other fans is the play in losers still having a chance for a top 3 pick, it makes me feel smidge dirty being a Ranger fan haha
